Sales structures in AFS

In principal all sales documents have the same structure: They consist of the document header and any number of document items. The document items can be subdivided in any number of schedule lines. In addition to this structure of the R/3 sales documents please note that in AFS the SKU data is stored at schedule line level. A schedule line is basically always created for each grid value. Furthermore the document header, the document item and the schedule line have been enhanced by AFS-specific data.

  • Header data
The document header contains the general data that is valid for the entire document. AFS-specific data is, for example:
  •
    • Cancellation date
    • Scheduling strategy
    • Customer department
  • Item data
Special AFS data includes, for example:
  •
    • Total quantity of the item
    • MSO mix
    • Allocation strategy
    • Season indicator
  • Schedule line data
The schedule lines generally contain the delivery-relevant data (for example the delivery date or the confirmed quantity). Additionally, AFS-specific data is stored at schedule line level. A customer places an order of 20 pieces of a material in different sizes. You enter the material in the order and choose a corresponding quantity per size. For each grid value a separate schedule line is created. The schedule lines contain, for example, the following AFS-specific data:
  •
    • Grid value
    • Season
    • Cancellation date
    • Reason for rejection
