How to set mantain authorization in a role

Postby Lioneros on Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:51 am

Hello,

user XY has only display authorization for transaction S_ALR_87008531. He needs also mantainance authorization. I checked and there are 4 roles that contain auithorizations for this transaction. One of them is role S:TRALL. In PFCG I can get a look inside this role, but I dont know how to find the section where I can also set mantain/change right for this transaction.

Can someone help?

Thank you in advance

You click on the authorizations tab, and then on the Change authorization data button. But if you don't even know how to get into the authorizations screen, you really don't need to be trying to maintain any roles. You don't know what you are doing.

I do know what Im doing. Maybe you just didnt understand what I mean or I described the problen not clear enough. Problem is not gettting into authorizations screen. Question is how to find specific activity that needs to be changed in order to have mantain rights when using specific transactions.

The easiest way I have found is to create a new temporary role. Add the transactions you need to the role to the menu section, and then go into the authorizations screen. All the authorizations you need to run the transactions you added to the menu should have been added to the authorizations list. Now you can see what can be changed, deleted, etc. Once you figure out what you need, use this information to change the real role you originally needed to change. And delete the temporary role you created.
