Hi All,

What are the settings required to switch from the scenario "Extended Classic Scenario" to "Classic"?

Thanks,
Deepti.

You can use Business Add-In BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI to overwrite settings made in Activate Extended Classic Scenario

I would say, "use caution" when deciding to activate the extended classic scenario.

settings required to switch from the scenario "Extended

Postby SRM/EBP Newbie on Mon Oct 31, 2005 11:37 am

Hi,

I am new to SRM/EBP...

I thought how one set up the Org. Plan and Product catagoey determined whether the "Classic" scenario or the "Extended Classic" scenario was used.

I did not know there were settings required to switch from the scenario "Extended Classic" scenario to "Classic" scenario.

Can someone please Please clearify

The default for config in SRM is for Classic mode (i.e., Purchase Orders will be created in the backend system)

One of the standard settings for configuration is:

Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross Applications Basic Settings -> Activate Extended Classic Scneario

Which causes SRM to generate a local purchase order for items in the shopping cart. Subsequent followon documents will be created locally and then replicated into R3.

I hope this clears things up a bit. There seems to be much confusion on this topic (Classic versus Extended Classic) which I have addressed here
http://www.sapcookbook.com/classic_matrix.htm in the Classic versus Extended classic decision matrix.

I hope this helps!
