Please tell me how to customize in Plant maintenance in such a way that , system should force the user to fill the settlement before saving the maintenance order

What we did was to create a functional location without a cost center. When you use a functional location in a work order without a cost center it will force you to fill in the settlement rule when you release the order.

There is no standard customization to ensure that the system asks for a settlement rule before saving it. For the release and TECO points it can be made necessary. The only other option is thru exits. Check the exits..
